Boeing recorded 284 aircraft orders between January and April 2026, the company’s strongest first four-month sales performance since 2014.
In April alone, Boeing booked 136 gross orders, led by unidentified customers with commitments for 52 737 MAX jets, 28 777X aircraft, 25 787-10s and four 787-9s. Other deals included orders from Biman Bangladesh Airlines, EL AL and Ethiopian Airlines.
The manufacturer ended April with 6,216 aircraft in backlog after ASC 606 accounting adjustments.
Boeing delivered 47 aircraft during the month, one more than in March and also slightly above the 45 aircraft handed over in April 2025.

The April total included 34 737 MAX jets, six 787 Dreamliners, three 777 freighters and four 767s, including three KC-46A Pegasus tankers. Year-to-date deliveries reached 190 aircraft, up 8.6% from the same period last year.

United Airlines was the largest recipient of 737 MAX aircraft in April with six deliveries, followed by CDL Leasing with six MAX jets and American Airlines with four.
On the widebody side, Boeing delivered three 787-9s to AerCap, plus one aircraft each to Lufthansa and Qatar Airways. Korean Air received a 787-10.

The company also delivered two 777 freighters to Emirates and one each to FedEx Express and National Airlines.

Despite the improvement compared to last year, Boeing’s monthly delivery pace remains below Airbus, which handed over 67 aircraft in April even as the European manufacturer continues to face supply chain constraints.
Boeing’s current commercial backlog includes 4,391 737 aircraft after accounting adjustments, along with 1,104 787s, 631 777-family jets and 90 767s.
