Qatar Airways has resumed its double-daily passenger flights between Doha and Abu Dhabi following the reduction in hostilities linked to the recent conflict involving Iran, Israel and U.S. forces in the Middle East.

The airline said the route to the capital of the United Arab Emirates is already operating again, restoring Qatar Airways’ network in the country alongside Dubai and Sharjah.

The Abu Dhabi flights had been affected by airspace restrictions and operational disruptions during the regional crisis earlier this year, when Iran exchanged missile and drone attacks with Israel while U.S. forces conducted strikes against Iranian targets.

Qatar Airways did not disclose the exact schedule for the resumed Abu Dhabi service, but confirmed the route is operating twice daily.

The carrier has also resumed flights in other parts of the region, including Baghdad, Basra and Erbil in Iraq, as well as daily services to Bahrain, Damascus and Kozhikode in India.

Earlier this week, on May 12, Qatar Airways announced the return of flights to Helsinki and Tokyo Haneda beginning on July 15.

Flights to Helsinki will initially operate four times per week with departures from Doha every Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday using flight QR301, leaving at 08:40 and arriving at 15:30 local time. Daily operations are scheduled from August 1.

Tokyo Haneda service will also restart on July 15 with four weekly frequencies before increasing to daily flights in August. Flight QR812 will depart Doha at 07:50 and arrive in Tokyo at 00:05 the following day.

Qatar Airways said it plans to operate flights to more than 160 destinations during the northern summer season as the airline continues restoring routes suspended during the conflict.
