Qatar Airways revealed a FIFA World Cup 2026-themed livery on a Boeing 777-300ER on 25 May, the carrier said, as part of its sponsorship partnership with soccer's governing body. The aircraft, decorated with tournament branding and a curated onboard experience, will operate on selected routes to Europe, the United States and Asia.
The aircraft chosen for the livery is a Boeing 777-300ER with registration A7-BEH that first flew on 10 February 2016 and was delivered to Qatar Airways weeks later. The aircraft is powered by two General Electric GE90-115B engines and is configured with 42 business-class and 312 economy seats.
Between October 2022 and April 2023 it carried a "FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022" sticker. It entered the paint shop at Shannon, Ireland on 4 May 2026 and emerged with the new special colours by the end of that month, according to Planespotters.
The interior features bespoke cabin dressing intended to bring the event's atmosphere into the inflight experience. After the tournament, the aircraft will continue to fly with both the livery and the cabin dressing to commemorate the event, said the carrier.
The FIFA World Cup 2026 will be hosted across the United States, Canada and Mexico, with matches starting on 11 June and the final on 19 July. It will be the largest edition of the tournament, featuring 48 teams.
