Qatar Airways confirmed that its new flights to Bogotá and Caracas will begin on July 22, after the launch of the routes was postponed from the original schedule announced last year.
The airline had unveiled the service in January 2025, when it said flights between Doha, Bogotá and Caracas would begin during the northern summer season of 2025 using Boeing 777-200LR aircraft.
Qatar Airways will operate the route twice weekly on Wednesdays and Sundays.
Under the published schedule, flight QR783 will depart Doha at 7:30 a.m. and arrive in Bogotá at 4:05 p.m. local time before continuing to Caracas. The return flight from Venezuela to Doha will operate nonstop.

The carrier said the schedules were designed to improve connections through Hamad International Airport to destinations including Australia, China, Japan, Lebanon, South Korea and the United Arab Emirates.
With the launch of the route, Qatar Airways will become the first Gulf carrier to serve Venezuela and the first airline from the Middle East to operate flights to both Bogotá and Caracas.
The addition of the two cities will expand Qatar Airways’ network in the Americas to 16 destinations.

The flights could also open a new travel option between South America and Asia through Doha, a market that today still depends heavily on connections via Europe, North America and other Middle Eastern hubs.
Turkish Airlines currently serves both Bogotá and Caracas, while Emirates operates flights to Colombia through Miami.
