Embraer's Praetor 500E has received simultaneous certification from Brazil's National Civil Aviation Agency (ANAC), the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA), clearing the updated business jet for operation in the world's largest executive aviation markets.
The certification follows the approval of the larger Praetor 600E in April and completes the regulatory certification of Embraer's latest generation of Praetor business jets. Despite receiving certification this year, deliveries of both aircraft for new orders are scheduled to begin in 2029.

The Praetor 500E was unveiled in February as an evolution of the current Praetor 500 rather than an all-new aircraft. The updated model retains the original platform while introducing a redesigned cabin with new Embraer-developed seats, an upgraded cabin management system and additional connectivity features.
Powered by two Honeywell HTF7500E turbofan engines, the Praetor 500E has a range of 3,340 nm (6,186 km) with four passengers under NBAA IFR reserves. Embraer said the aircraft can operate nonstop on routes such as Miami-Seattle and Los Angeles-New York.

The aircraft also retains the Praetor family's full fly-by-wire flight controls with active turbulence reduction, along with the Embraer Enhanced Vision System (E2VS) and the Runway Overrun Awareness and Alerting System (ROAAS).
The Praetor 500E and Praetor 600E represent the first major update to Embraer's executive jet lineup since the Praetor family entered service, with the manufacturer focusing on cabin improvements and onboard technology while preserving the aircraft's established performance and operating characteristics.
