Bell Textron signed a memorandum of understanding with Korea Aerospace Industries (KAI) to offer the MV-75 tiltrotor for South Korea’s High Speed Medium Utility Helicopter (HSMUH) program.
The agreement covers joint studies on how to adapt the aircraft to the Republic of Korea’s requirements, including potential industrial cooperation.
The MV-75 Cheyenne II is the designation adopted for the tiltrotor derived from the Bell V-280 Valor, selected by the United States Army under its Future Long-Range Assault Aircraft (FLRAA) program to replace the Sikorsky UH-60 Black Hawk.

“Bell is excited to work with KAI,” said Jeff Schloesser, senior vice president, Strategic Pursuits, Bell. “MV-75 represents the next generation of vertical lift. HSMUH presents another opportunity to extend the reach of this advanced capability and interoperability with U.S. allies and partners.”

The aircraft offers higher speed and longer range than conventional helicopters, a requirement set by the U.S. Army as it seeks faster vertical lift platforms.
