Porter Airlines will launch four international routes from London, Ontario, this winter, giving the Canadian city new nonstop connections to Florida, Mexico and Jamaica with the Embraer E195-E2.
The name may cause some confusion outside Canada. This is London International Airport (YXU) in southwestern Ontario, rather than the British capital some 3,100 nautical miles (5,740 km) across the Atlantic.

The expansion will also mark Porter's arrival at London International Airport. Operations begin on November 18 with four weekly flights to Fort Lauderdale, followed one day later by three weekly services to Orlando.
Cancun will join the network on December 17 with four weekly flights, while twice-weekly service to Montego Bay starts on December 18. All four routes will operate seasonally during the Canadian winter.
Porter plans a considerably larger presence at the airport beyond the initial international services. The airline said it intends to establish an "extensive" year-round domestic network from London during summer 2027, although destinations and schedules have not yet been announced.
The carrier sees a market extending beyond the city itself. Porter estimates that more than two million people live in the Greater London area, many of whom currently travel to other airports to access a wider selection of flights.
E195-E2 opens new markets
All four international routes will use Porter's 132-seat Embraer E195-E2s. The aircraft have a two-by-two configuration, allowing the airline to operate without middle seats while providing enough range for leisure destinations in the Caribbean, Mexico and Florida.
Porter has rapidly become one of the world's largest E195-E2 operators since receiving its first aircraft in late 2022. Its fleet currently includes 54 E195-E2s from 75 firm orders, with options for another 25 aircraft.
Deliveries have slowed considerably in 2026, however. Porter has received only two E195-E2s so far this year, one in May and another in June.
The type has allowed Porter to expand well beyond the regional network historically operated with De Havilland Canada Dash 8-400 turboprops. E195-E2 services now extend across Canada and into the United States, Mexico and the Caribbean.
London will become another example of that strategy, but without immediately connecting the airport to Porter's larger Canadian network. The first phase will consist entirely of international leisure flights, with domestic services following in 2027.
