Pilatus has received certification from the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) and the US Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) for its new PC-12 PRO flight simulators, now available for pilot training in Switzerland and the United States.

The Europe-based simulator is approved as a Level 2 Flight Training Device by EASA and as a Level II Flight Navigation Procedures Trainer Multi-Crew Cooperation. In the US, SIMCOM is offering the simulator, which is certified as a Level 6 Flight Training Device under FAA regulations.

The simulator is designed to support crew members in learning the systems and functions of the PC-12 PRO cockpit, including training for abnormal situations and challenging weather.

Pilatus states that the simulator enables all required differences training for transitioning from the PC-12 NG or NGX to the PC-12 PRO. The device uses the Pilatus Advanced Cockpit Environment (ACE) based on the Garmin G3000 PRIME avionics suite. Simulator-based training is also positioned to reduce emissions compared to in-aircraft training.

The first full-motion PC-12 PRO simulator is currently in production and is scheduled to be available at Fly7’s training center at Lausanne Airport, Switzerland, in 2028.
