Embraer has completed the acquisition of the remaining 50% stake in EZ Air Interior Limited from Safran Cabin, taking full ownership of the Mexican aircraft interiors manufacturer after receiving the required regulatory approvals.
The transaction concludes a deal announced in January and transfers to Embraer full control of the Chihuahua-based company, which has supplied cabin components exclusively for Embraer aircraft since the joint venture was established in 2012.
EZ Air manufactures overhead bins, galleys, lavatories and floor panels for the E-Jet family. The Chihuahua facility employs about 1,100 people and supports both the first-generation E-Jets and the newer E2 family.
The agreement also includes the integration of selected Safran Cabin operations in Jacareí, Brazil, that are dedicated to Embraer programs. Engineering services and other Safran Cabin activities in Brazil unrelated to Embraer aircraft will remain with the French aerospace supplier.

Embraer said the acquisition supports its strategy of expanding manufacturing capabilities and increasing control over key parts of its production chain. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

The companies first announced the agreement in January, when Safran decided to divest its share in the joint venture after more than a decade of partnership. The closing had been subject to customary regulatory approvals and other conditions.
The acquisition further strengthens Embraer's vertical integration in aircraft production by bringing cabin interior manufacturing directly under the company's control, while ending one of its longest-running industrial partnerships with Safran Cabin.
