Australian Corporate Jet Centres (ACJC) is preparing to take delivery of its second Embraer E190-E2, according to company owner Sam Iliades.

In a series of posts on LinkedIn, Iliades said the airline's entry-into-service team is in São José dos Campos, Brazil, carrying out the final acceptance activities for the aircraft, registered VH-IGJ.

The executive said pilots, flight attendants, engineers and operations personnel are participating in the acceptance process, which includes inspection flights and maintenance checks before the aircraft departs for Australia.

The new E190-E2 will join VH-IKJ, which has been operated by ACJC since late 2025. The aircraft was originally delivered by Embraer in 2020 but never entered commercial service with its intended customer, Air Kiribati. It later passed through Australian operators Pionair and ASL Airlines Australia—part of the same group—before joining ACJC.

The second aircraft follows a similar path. Registered as VH-IGJ, it also appears to have been allocated to Air Kiribati before being redirected to ACJC without entering airline service.

Headquartered at Essendon Fields Airport in Melbourne, ACJC specializes in charter flights for corporate customers, government agencies and VIP transport. The Australian charter market plays an important role in supporting mining, energy and other industries that require regular transportation of personnel to remote locations. Besides its E190-E2 fleet, the company also operates business jets, including a Legacy, as well as ERJ-145LR regional jets.

The model has not matched the commercial success of the larger E195-E2, but it has found a niche in the charter market. Besides Australian Corporate Jet Centres, Brazilian operator Placar Linhas Aéreas also flies two E190-E2 aircraft, using them for sports team transportation as well as other charter operations.

The E190-E2 is the mid-sized member of Embraer's E2 family. It seats up to 114 passengers in a typical two-class layout or up to 120 in a single-class configuration and is powered by Pratt & Whitney PW1919G geared turbofan engines. The aircraft entered commercial service in 2018.
