Airbus delivered 35 commercial aircraft in February, continuing a slower delivery pace compared with last year as supply chain constraints persist.

The European manufacturer has handed over 54 jets so far this year, nine fewer than in the first two months of 2025.

The A220-300 was the only model to record higher deliveries. Airbus delivered 11 aircraft of the type, compared with seven during the same period last year. Deliveries of the A321neo, the company’s best-selling narrowbody, matched last year’s pace with 31 aircraft handed over so far in 2026.

By contrast, the A320neo — once Airbus’ most widely delivered aircraft — saw a sharp decline. Only nine units have been delivered this year, down from 19 in the same period of 2025.

Widebody deliveries were also limited. Airbus handed over two A350s, one A350-900 and one A350-1000, while no A330neo aircraft were delivered during the period.

The weak performance highlights continuing supply chain disruptions affecting the aerospace industry, complicating Airbus’ efforts to meet its delivery targets for the year.

Despite the slower output, Airbus’ backlog remains high at 8,776 aircraft as of last month, reflecting strong demand but also the challenge of converting orders into deliveries.

Order activity was also subdued. Aside from an order from Air Astana for 25 aircraft — including 20 A321neo and five A320neo — Airbus recorded only two additional A321neo orders from Taiwan’s Tigerair and one A320neo ordered by a private customer.

Net orders reached 77 aircraft.
