Airbus expanded commercial aircraft deliveries for the second consecutive month, in a tough recovery to meet high demand. A total of 67 jets were delivered in July, but 10 units below the same month in 2024.

For the year as a whole, Airbus delivered 373 aircraft, compared to 400 between January and July 2024. The result was revealed days after the company reaffirmed its goal of pursuing a total of 820 deliveries by 2025.

Deliveries included 35 A321neos (the best performance of the year), 19 A320neos, five A220-300s, four A350-900s, two A330-900s, and two A350-1000s.

For the second month in a row, there were no deliveries of the A220-100 or A319neo.

Year-to-date, the A321neo has 178 deliveries (one less than in 2024), the A320neo, 102 aircraft (-36), the A220-300, 43 (+13), the A350-900, 23 (0), the A330-900, 13 (-5), the A319neo, 6 (+2), the A350-1000, 4 (-1), and the A220-100, 3 (-2). There was also one A330-200 delivery for the MRTT program.

Few Orders, Some Cancellations

Regarding orders, Airbus recorded an additional order for four A330-900s announced by Condor and three A321neos from an undisclosed customer.

However, the manufacturer lost contracts for three A220-300s from lessor Macquarie Financial Holdings and an A350F freighter from Martinair’s four-aircraft order.

Airbus’s backlog reached 8,690 pending orders, a 0.7% decrease compared to June.
