Delta Air Lines will resume daily flights between New York-JFK and Tel Aviv on September 6, restoring its only current service to Israel more than six months after operations were suspended following the outbreak of war involving Israel, the United States and Iran.
The first flight will depart JFK on September 6 and arrive at Tel Aviv's Ben Gurion International Airport the following morning. The return service will leave Israel on September 7 and arrive in New York later the same day.

Delta will operate the route with the Airbus A330-900neo, configured with Delta One, Premium Select, Comfort and Main Cabin.
The airline said the decision followed a review of the security environment and that it will continue monitoring developments in coordination with government agencies and aviation authorities.
Delta suspended its Tel Aviv service on February 28 as airlines reacted to the rapidly deteriorating security situation and restrictions on airspace across the Middle East following US and Israeli attacks on Iran and Iranian retaliation.
What was initially expected to be a short interruption was repeatedly extended. Delta eventually canceled JFK-Tel Aviv flights through September 5, leaving September 6 as its planned return date.
Wednesday's announcement therefore confirms that the airline intends to proceed with a restart that had remained subject to the security situation in the region.
Repeated disruptions since 2023
Delta's Israel operation had already undergone several interruptions since the war in Gaza began in October 2023.
The carrier eventually restored JFK-Tel Aviv service on September 1, 2025 and temporarily increased the route to twice daily during part of the 2025-2026 winter season. The February escalation involving Iran brought another suspension only months after Delta had rebuilt its presence in the market.

The September restart will not immediately restore all of the Israel service Delta had planned. Flights between Atlanta and Tel Aviv remain suspended at least through December 18, while a planned Boston-Tel Aviv route has been postponed without a new launch date.
The return of JFK service will also place Delta back into a market where US airlines have repeatedly adjusted schedules according to the regional security situation. United Airlines, which traditionally has a larger operation to Israel, has also gone through several rounds of suspensions and resumptions since 2023.
