The NATO Days air show, held in Ostrava, Czech Republic on September 16th and 17th, featured a line-up of military transport aircraft.
The Boeing C-17 Globemaster, the Airbus A400M Atlas and the Embraer KC-390 Millennium airlifters were at the event, which were positioned close together, allowing a very precise comparison of their size.
All three are operated by countries belonging to the North Atlantic military alliance, although the Brazilian jet is not yet officially in service with the Portuguese Air Force, one of the aircraft’s three European customers.
NATO Days 2023 also saw the participation of several F-35 fighters, including jets from the US Air Force (F-35A) and the Royal Air Force (F-35B).
According to organizers, more than 90 aircraft were displayed at the air show, which had free entry.
The Czech Air Force also brought new additions to its inventory, the AH-1Z Viper and UH-1Y Venom helicopters, recently delivered by the USA and presented to the public for the first time.
