Air Côte d’Ivoire signed a firm order for four Embraer E175 aircraft, in addition to eight purchase options, during the Dubai Airshow on November 17.
This is a significant agreement on the continent and anticipates the start of deliveries in the first half of 2027. The airline intends to modernize and expand its regional operation, currently based on Dash 8 turboprops.
The E175s will be configured with 76 seats in two classes, with 12 in business and 64 in economy, in a configuration similar to that used by regional airlines in the U.S., the main market for this version.

According to Laurent Loukou, CEO of Air Côte d’Ivoire, “this order marks a significant step in our fleet development strategy. The Embraer E175 is perfectly suited to our domestic and regional ambitions. Its capacity is perfectly adapted to the size of African markets.”
“ Embraer is firmly established as the market leader in the up to 150 seat segment in Africa, the E175 is a proven performer on the continent and its capabilities are a perfect match for the airline’s vision,” said Arjan Meijer, president and CEO of Embraer Commercial Aviation.
The fleet of Air Côte d’Ivoire totals only 13 aircraft and includes four Dash 8s, five Airbus A319s, three A320s (one of them A320neo), and one A330-900, which has just been delivered. Between 2013 and 2015, the company also operated an Embraer E170.
