Deutsche Aircraft has announced the signing of a Letter of Intent (LOI) with an undisclosed customer for the purchase of up to four D328eco aircraft.
Although it did not reveal the identity of the buyer, the manufacturer stated that the new model will replace old turboprops.
The D328eco is an update of the Dornier 328 model, which entered service in the 1990s. The aircraft, however, is larger, with capacity for up to 40 passengers, and promises more efficient and cleaner performance.

“The aircraft’s ability to operate in challenging environments – including short, unpaved runways and remote destinations – makes it a reliable, capable and efficient solution for regional operators,” said Anastasija Visnakova, Vice President of Sales and Marketing.
Deutsche Aircraft continues with its development schedule, which includes test flights with Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) in 2024, as well as the construction of the aircraft’s assembly line in Leipzig, Germany.
The company does not disclose the backlog of the D328eco, but in addition to the new client, there is at least another Letter of Intent from Private Wings, a company specializing in corporate shuttles and charter flights to receive five aircraft.
The D328eco will be equipped with PW127XT-S engines, from Pratt & Whitney, and Companion avionics suite by Garmin.
The first series production turboprop is expected to be delivered in 2026.
