T’way Air will change its corporate name to Trinity Airways after shareholders approved the rebranding in a regular meeting held in Seoul, the company announced.

The transition, which follows the acquisition of a controlling stake by Sono Hospitality Group, is expected to be completed in the first half of 2026.

The rebranding process includes a new neutral color scheme and the introduction of a revised visual identity, first seen in renderings of an Airbus A330-900.

T’way Air is set to receive five A330neo aircraft beginning in 2026, marking a significant update to its long-haul fleet. The company has stated it will provide guidance to customers throughout the transition.

At the shareholders meeting, the company also approved amendments to its articles of incorporation, including a 50% reduction in the directors’ remuneration limit and governance changes such as increasing the ratio of independent directors and extending the notice period for board meetings. The number of independently elected audit committee members was also expanded.

Sono Hospitality Group became T’way Air’s largest shareholder in February 2025, acquiring 46% of the airline’s shares. The rebranding aims to align the carrier with Sono’s broader business strategy and unify its corporate image.

T’way Air, originally launched as Hansung Airlines in 2004, became South Korea’s first low-cost carrier before adopting its current name in 2010. The airline operates a fleet of 48 aircraft, including Boeing 737-800s, 737 MAX 8s, 777-300ERs, and Airbus A330s.
