Six people were killed after two helicopters collided in mid-air on Sunday morning, June 14, in Rio de Janeiro. Among the victims were singer Oliver Tree and Argentine YouTuber Gaspi, according to local reports.

The aircraft crashed into a vehicle storage area after the collision. Emergency services were dispatched to the scene shortly before 9 a.m.

Images from the site showed one of the helicopters engulfed in flames following the impact. Several vehicles on the ground were also damaged by the fire. A video shows the moment of mid-air collision and two helicopters crashing.

One of the aircraft involved was reportedly an AS350 helicopter built by Airbus in 2012 and registered as PR-DJJ. The helicopter had departed from Angra dos Reis carrying four passengers and a pilot, including Tree and Gaspi.

The second aircraft was identified as a Bell 206B helicopter registered as PP-MAC. According to preliminary information, only the pilot was on board.

Authorities have not yet disclosed the cause of the accident. An investigation is expected to determine the circumstances that led to the collision.
