Airbus has won another customer for the A320neo family, this time from Jackson Square Aviation (JSA), a lessor with offices in San Francisco, Dublin and Singapore.

JSA ordered 50 aircraft from the family, but did not provide details on models or delivery times. This is the first direct order made by the lessor with the European planemaker.

With a fleet of 239 aircraft, Jackson Square had only ordered new aircraft from Boeing in 2018.

“Today is an exciting milestone in JSA’s history as a longtime global leader in the sale & leaseback financings of Airbus aircraft,” said Kevin McDonald, JSA’s Chief Executive Officer.

“Jackson Square Aviation has an impressive customer base and we welcome its decision to become the latest Airbus customer. After a thorough evaluation JSA’s selection of Airbus A320neo reflects its commitment to offering airlines the leading single aisle aircraft family with outstanding performance and passenger comfort,” added Benoit de Saint-Exupéry, executive vice president of sales at Airbus.

JSA is part of Mitsubishi HC Capital Inc, which also controls another lessor, Engine Lease Finance.
