LATAM Airlines Group has signed lease agreements for five Airbus A321neo aircraft with CDB Aviation, the Irish-based leasing arm of China Development Bank Financial Leasing, the lessor announced during the ISTAT Americas conference.

The aircraft, identified as the A321-271NX variant, are scheduled for delivery in the second quarter of 2026. They will join another A321neo previously leased to LATAM from CDB Aviation’s orderbook.

The A321-271NX is powered by Pratt & Whitney PW1133G-JM engines from the Geared Turbofan (GTF) family, a powerplant that has faced availability challenges across the industry due to inspections and maintenance requirements affecting operators worldwide.

According to CDB Aviation, the aircraft will support LATAM’s network strategy across its South American hubs. “We are happy to strengthen our relationship with the leading airline group in Latin America, supporting its initiatives to invest in the latest generation aircraft to enhance the flexibility of its hubs,” said Luís da Silva, the lessor’s Head of Commercial for the Americas.

LATAM currently operates 18 Airbus A321neo aircraft, all registered with its Brazilian subsidiary. The most recent addition to the fleet, registered PS-LBS, was delivered on February 25, 2026.

Within the LATAM Group, the A321neo is configured with 224 seats in a single-class layout and is primarily used on high-density domestic and regional routes across South America.
