Embraer has delivered the first Praetor 600E to Flexjet, starting deliveries of the updated super-midsize business jet to one of the world's largest fractional aircraft operators.
The aircraft is part of the agreement announced by Embraer and Flexjet in February 2025, which includes a firm order for 182 business jets and options for another 30. Valued at up to US$7 billion at list prices, including services and support, it was the largest firm order in the history of Embraer Executive Jets when announced.
The 182 firm aircraft are not all Praetor 600s. The agreement covers a mix of Phenom 300E, Praetor 500 and Praetor 600 jets, although Embraer and Flexjet have not disclosed the number assigned to each model.
The Praetor 600E was unveiled in February 2026 as an updated version of the Praetor 600. It received certification from Brazil's ANAC, the US Federal Aviation Administration and the European Union Aviation Safety Agency in April.

Flexjet is the fleet launch customer for the 600E and expects to receive 12 aircraft by the end of 2026. The company will also become fleet launch customer for the Praetor 500E, with its first delivery scheduled for the fourth quarter.
Fractional operators buy hundreds of aircraft
Orders of this scale are not unusual among the largest fractional aircraft operators, which require large inventories of business jets to support ownership programs across different aircraft categories.
Flexjet rival NetJets has another major agreement with Embraer. In 2023, the Berkshire Hathaway-owned operator reached a deal for up to 250 Praetor 500s, valued at more than US$5 billion, with deliveries scheduled to begin in 2025.

NetJets was already a major Embraer customer. Its relationship with the manufacturer began with a 2010 purchase agreement for 50 Phenom 300s and up to 75 additional options. In 2021, after Embraer had delivered more than 100 aircraft to the operator, another agreement covered up to 100 additional Phenom 300/E jets.
Flexjet's relationship with Embraer also dates back more than two decades. The operator became the fleet launch customer for the original Praetor 500 and Praetor 600 in 2019.
4,018-nm range
The Praetor 600E retains an advertised range of 4,018 nautical miles (7,441 km) with four passengers and NBAA IFR reserves, enough for routes such as London-New York and São Paulo-Miami.
Changes introduced with the E version are concentrated largely in the cabin. They include new Embraer-designed seats, an updated cabin management system and a redesigned galley.
The first Flexjet aircraft also has Embraer's Smart Window, a 42-inch 4K OLED touchscreen that can display images from three external cameras and can be used for video conferencing and content streaming.
The Praetor 600E uses a Collins Aerospace Pro Line Fusion flight deck and has full fly-by-wire flight controls with active turbulence reduction. Its avionics also include the Embraer Enhanced Vision System and Runway Overrun Awareness and Alerting System.
