Embraer’s board of directors has appointed Felipe Santana Santiago de Lima as Executive Vice President, Finance and Investor Relations (CFO), effective April 13.

He succeeds Antonio Carlos Garcia, who left the role this week to take a similar position at Azul Linhas Aéreas. Garcia’s departure had been announced on April 6, when CEO Francisco Gomes Neto assumed the position on an interim basis.

Santana has been with Embraer for 18 years and currently serves as the company’s global director of treasury. During his tenure, he has held leadership roles across financial operations, treasury, insurance, customer finance and shared services.

His background includes a degree in International Relations from Fundação Escola de Comércio Álvares Penteado (FECAP), a certification in financial management from Insper, and executive education programs at Fundação Dom Cabral, Harvard University and Fundação Getulio Vargas. In 2022, he was named one of the “20 Finance Leaders to Watch” by the Finance Career Perspective Yearbook (Insper and Assetz).

According to Embraer, Santana has experience in corporate finance and treasury, including capital markets, liability management, investor and bank relations, aircraft financing and risk management.

Garcia had served as CFO since 2019 and was involved in restructuring efforts and measures to strengthen the company’s cash position during the pandemic.

Embraer ended 2025 with a firm order backlog of $18.7 billion and deliveries of 64 commercial aircraft and 119 executive jets, maintaining its position as the leading regional jet manufacturer outside the United States.
