Emirates Airline has announced plans to commence operations of the Airbus A350-900 to Hangzhou, China, starting October 26. This marks the introduction of the widebody aircraft to the Chinese mainland.
The scheduled service will see flight EK310 depart from Dubai at 04:15, arriving in Hangzhou at 16:00. The return leg, flight EK311, will leave Hangzhou at 00:10, reaching Dubai by 06:10. The A350 is a significant addition to Emirates’ fleet, being the first new aircraft model since 2008, complementing its existing Boeing 777s and A380s.
“Over the last year we have made significant investments in our operations to Chinese mainland, creating meaningful impact through the launch of brand-new destinations and providing an elevated in-flight experience with our latest products. Introducing the A350 to Hangzhou is the natural next step, as we continue to bring the latest and greatest that Emirates has to offer to China’s skies,” said Adnan Kazim, Emirates’ Chief Commercial Officer.
The Airbus A350 will feature a configuration of 312 seats, divided into 32 Business Class seats, 21 Premium Economy seats, and 259 Economy Class seats. Notably, the introduction of Premium Economy in Hangzhou will enhance the airline’s premium offerings, providing passengers with amenities such as leather reclining seats and 13.3-inch TV screens.
The aircraft’s modern interiors and advanced amenities are expected to cater to the growing demand for premium travel experiences in the region. To date, Emirates has taken delivery of nine A350-900s, the most recent on August 22.
