Embraer will present the C-390 Millennium to the South African Air Force

Multi-role aircraft will visit Waterkloof Air Force Base on November 24, the service said. Country is listed as one of those interested in the twin-engine jet

Embraer will take the C-390 Millennium to South Africa where it will perform a presentation to the country’s Air Force at Waterkloof Air Base on November 24.

The information was shared by the government in an invitation to the local press on Tuesday.

According to the statement, the South African Air Force (SAAF) “will welcome a visit from Brazil, Embraer Defense & Security to demonstrate the capabilities of the C-390 military transport aircraft”.

The event will be attended by the defense minister and the head of the air force, according to the government.

South African Air Force media invitation (SAAF)

The visit of the C-390 Millennium was agreed in April during a visit by a South African delegation, in order to carry out demonstrations and tests.

South Africa is identified by the Brazilian government as one of the potential interested parties in acquiring Embraer’s multi-role aircraft, although the air force is experiencing a lack of financial resources.
