Embraer has secured certification for the Phenom 300EV in three major markets, clearing the latest version of its light business jet for operation in Brazil, the United States and Europe.
Brazil’s ANAC, the US Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) have approved the aircraft, Embraer announced on Tuesday, August 25.

The certification also makes the Phenom 300EV the first light jet approved with Garmin Emergency Autoland, a system capable of taking control and automatically landing the aircraft if the pilot becomes incapacitated.
The technology can select an appropriate airport and runway, communicate with air traffic control, navigate to the airport and conduct the landing without pilot intervention.
Embraer introduced the Phenom 300EV in July as the latest development of the Phenom 300 family. Among the changes are autobrake and rudder-by-wire, enabled by a new Multi-Purpose Electronic Controller developed by Embraer.
Range has increased to 2,055 nm (3,806 km) with four passengers and NBAA IFR reserves, while maximum speed reaches Mach 0.80.
The aircraft uses the Garmin G3000 Prodigy Touch flight deck and also incorporates autothrottle, Emergency Descent Mode and Embraer’s Runway Overrun Awareness and Alerting System.
Cabin changes include Gogo Galileo satellite connectivity using a low-Earth-orbit network, while Starlink will be offered as an aftermarket option under a Supplemental Type Certificate.
“Best-selling light jet” claim needs context
Embraer describes the Phenom 300 series as the world’s best-selling light jet for 14 consecutive years. That description, however, does not account for the Cirrus SF50 Vision Jet, a single-engine aircraft that is also classified as a light business jet and currently records substantially higher deliveries.
According to 2025 data from the General Aviation Manufacturers Association (GAMA), Cirrus delivered 106 Vision Jets during the year, compared with 72 Phenom 300-series aircraft. The SF50 was therefore the most-delivered business jet of any category in 2025.
Embraer’s more precise distinction is that the Phenom 300 was the world’s most-delivered twin-engine jet for the sixth consecutive year in 2025. The manufacturer itself included that qualification when announcing its annual delivery results in February.
The Phenom 300EV will replace the current Phenom 300E in the product line, with first deliveries planned for 2028.
